Florian Jacob graduated in informatics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2019, and has since worked as a staff member in the Decentralized Systems and Network Services research group. His research interests are in the investigation of decentralized, federated communication networks like Matrix, focussing on security, scalability, and resilience. Within this context, he also deals with end-to-end encryption, usable security, distributed data structures, and access control mechanisms.
In his freetime, he is involved in Freifunk Karlsruhe.
